This week at Collections we got in a new shipment of luxurious sweaters and ponchos from Alashan Cashmere.
The Claudia Nichole line of sweaters we carry is one of two divisions of the Alashan Cashmere company which was started by Donald Fox in 2004. Donald worked for one of the most prestigious cashmere manufacturers, Forte Cashmere Company, for 11 years before they closed, prompting him to put his experience and knowledge of the trade to further use by starting his own line, Alashan Cashmere.
Alashan refers to an area of western Inner Mongolia province, China which is known to produce the world’s finest cashmere and camel hair due to certain climactic, geographic, and dietary conditions. Many producers, including our own Claudia Nichole, seek to add Alashan cashmere to their products for the superior handle and softness it’s known for.
We brought in a few different styles of sweaters to choose from along with some fabulous basic ponchos in different colors. We have some zip-up hoodies, crew – neck pullovers, and open kimono style sweaters that are very flattering and cozy.
